Commentary:
God did not create sin. Genesis 3 explains the origin of sin. Commonly referred to as The Fall, it is the reason that we see evil at work in the world in which we live.
Adam and Eve were created perfect, in a perfect garden setting, within a perfect world, in perfect fellowship with God. But in an act of rebellion, they disobeyed God’s command not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
The result was sin entering the world. Man would no longer enjoy the fruit of his labor, but would toil in anguish. Woman would experience pain in child bearing. The created world itself was even subject to the penalty.
