General revelation refers to the truths about God that can be known through nature.

Romans 1:19-20
since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Commentary: General revelation can be defined as the revelation of God to all people, at all times, and in all places that reveals that God exists and that He is intelligent, powerful, and transcendent. These truths that can be discerned about God through nature and order. General revelation is universally available to all. It is sufficient in calling people to acknowledge God’s existence. However, general revelation is inadequate for salvation, as the bible teaches we are saved by grace, through faith, in Jesus. That is why it is so important for believers to proclaim the gospel to every nation and throughout the world.
