Children:
The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity.
Hebrews 9:14
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

Commentary:
The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity. He is fully God. He is eternal, omniscient, omnipresent. He is alive. He is a person and not a force. If the Holy Spirit were merely a force, He could not be insulted, grieved, or lied to. The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son within the Trinity. He loves, speaks, and has a will. His ministry is to glorify the Father, bear witness to the Son, and apply salvation.
