Question 4 :: Who is the Word of God for?

Answer: 

God’s Word is for everyone.  It is the special revelation of his character and nature, laws and statues, and relationship to all humanity.

Proverbs 30:5 

Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Commentary: 

The Word of God is for all men. It is the revelation of the character and nature of God, as well as his laws and statues.  Scripture reveals God’s relationship to humanity as its Creator.   

Because of the rebellion of Adam and Eve, and our own resulting sin nature, that relationship was changed.  Because this relationship pertains to all men, the Bible reveals this situation to all men and is thus for all men.
