Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Commentary:

Jesus is described throughout the New Testament as being in heaven seated (or standing) at the right hand of God the Father.

Heaven is first and foremost the presence of God and since God is Spirit (John 4:24) and exists outside both time and space then heaven can be seen as spiritual. Because Jesus was physically resurrected, it is also a physical place.

In heaven, at the right hand of God the Father, Jesus serves as Prophet, Priest and King. As Prophet, Jesus reveals by His Word the will of God for our salvation.  As Priest, He offers himself as the sacrifice for divine justice and makes continual intercession.  As King, Jesus is ruling and reigning over creation and restraining conquering evil.
